Planters still up
for grabs in
adoption program
Seventeen planters lining Santa Cruz Avenue from Highway 9 south to the Toll House Hotel are still available for adoption in Los Gatos. For about $100 and the cost of purchasing new flowers each season, anyone can adopt a planter for 18 months. A plaque provided by the town will bear the name of the adopter.
The 12 people who have already signed up to participate all received their first-choice planter, said Mary Gillespie-Greenberg of the parks and public works department. Anyone who wishes to sign up should call Gillespie-Greenberg at 408.399.5776. Planting starts Nov. 10.
