Registration is now being accepted for the Calvary Church Youth Basketball League for boys ages 10­16 and girls ages 6­14. League play runs Jan. 3 through March 6, and the registration fee is $95 per player.

Turkey trot

The Los Gatos­Saratoga Observation Nursery School, located at 19601 Black Road in Los Gatos (also known as the "Mountain School"), will hold its first annual 5K Turkey Trot walk/run on Nov. 9 at Vasona Park in Los Gatos.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. The fun, family 5K starts at 11 a.m., and the kids fun run will begin at noon. Food, entertainment and festivities will continue at the Gateway Pavilion until 2 p.m.

Bronco baseball
