Students head to San Diego

Four select seventh-grade students from Fisher Middle School will be giving a seminar on Nov. 8 at the California School-Age Consortium's National Middle School Conference in San Diego. Michael Price, Chris Nielsen, Julia Roberts and Lissa Zimmer will present "Real middle school students' activities taught by real middle schoolers." The students will teach adults about middle school activities, according to Elaina Schmersey with the Los Gatos­Saratoga Community Education and Recreation Department. The students will also sit on a panel for questions and answers about middle school.


LGHS graduate named to dean's list

Erin Gisler, a junior majoring in sociology, was recently named to the dean's list for the 2002­03 academic year at Santa Clara University. This distinction is reserved for students who achieve a grade point average in the top 10 percent of their class for the entire year. Gisler is a 2001 graduate of Los Gatos High School and the daughter of Greg and Fae Gisler of Los Gatos.


Lecture on dealing with bullies

Dr. Luisa Montaini-Klovdahl will present "Feeling Safe Dealing with Bullies" at 7 p.m. on Nov. 6 at the Neighborhood Center in Los Gatos, 208 E.
