Westmont High will present Bard's 'Comedy'

Westmont High School presents William Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 14, 15, 20, 21 and 22.

All seats are reserved. Adult tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Student ticket price with a Westmont student body card is $6 in advance and $8 at the door. For more information, call 408.378.1500 ext. 6258.

Parents invited to seminar about raising teens

Parents are encouraged to join author Wayne Rice on Nov. 14 as he talks about how to raise capable and emotionally healthy teenagers. The event runs from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Los Gatos United Methodist Church, 111 Church St. Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 at the door and the price includes a workbook. Tickets are available at the Town of Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce and the church office. For information, call 408.354.4730.

Middle school students learn to be leaders

Spencer Silvestre and Ian Kistler, both of Los Gatos, were selected to attend the Junior National Young Leaders Conference from Oct. 18 to Oct. 23 in Washington, D.C., a unique leadership development program for middle school students. The conference introduced the young people to the rich tradition of leadership throughout American history and included a trip to Colonial Williamsburg.

Silvestre, who attends Union Middle School, is the son of Terrie and Julian Silvestre of Los Gatos. Kistler is the son Rod and Gallia Kistler, also of Los Gatos.
