Two robberies, two arrests and it all happened in one day
By Linh Tat
Two men were arrested last week for two cases of armed robbery in the Los Gatos and San Jose area.

Bahman Talebi, 19, and a 17-year-old companion allegedly first robbed a Chevron station on the 400 block of Leigh Avenue around 8 p.m. Nov. 3. Around 10:30 p.m., San Jose police notified officers in Los Gatos that they had two men in custody suspected of orchestrating another armed robbery in San Jose. The two men turned out to be the same suspects Los Gatos officers were looking for.

In the Los Gatos robbery, the suspects entered the Chevron station with what appeared to be a shotgun and pipe, the service station clerk told police. According to Sgt. Mike Barbieri, the suspects fled the scene with at least $500. No one was injured, Barbieri said.

The San Jose robbery occurred at a liquor store on Meridian Avenue.

The suspects were booked at county jail and juvenile hall.
