Los Gatos Little League is holding sign-ups for 2004

The Los Gatos Little League will hold sign-ups for the 2004 season on Nov. 19, 7­9 p.m., in the cafeteria at Los Gatos High School.

Players under 9 years old or who have not yet played in the Los Gatos Little League must attend a registration session. Returning players should have received packets in the mail and need to follow the instructions and return the information by mail. Players must attend the registration to obtain a number for the January 24 and 31 evaluation sessions.

LG Pony

The Los Gatos Pony League will hold registration on Nov. 19, 7­9 p.m., in the cafeteria at Los Gatos High School.

The league is open the players ages 13­14 (born on or between Aug. 1, 1989, and July 31, 1991). Players must provide a copy of their birth certificate as proof of age and a utility bill as proof of residency. The player donation is $300.

Tryouts will be held on Jan. 31 and Feb. 7 at the Los Gatos Pony field at Fisher Middle School.

Quito LL

The Quito Little League will hold sign-ups for the 2004 season on Nov. 22, 11 a.m.­2 p.m., and Dec. 2 and 4, 6:30­9 p.m., at Rolling Hills Middle School. Players ages 5­12 are eligible. Parents must provide a California drivers license, proof of residency and the child's original birth certificate. For more information, call 408.943.4707 or visit www.quitoll.org.

Baseball camp

It's the final month of the regular season for high school football teams, so it's about time to start thinking about ... baseball?

Well, it is in Los Gatos, at least for players ages 6­16.

America's Baseball Camps, spearheaded by former Los Gatos star Ben Boulware, will return to Los Gatos High School on Nov. 29 and 30. The camp will feature a 9 a.m.­12:30 p.m. session on Nov. 29 and a noon­3 p.m. session on Nov. 30 for players ages 6­9. Players ages 10­16 will attend from noon­3 p.m. on Nov. 29 and 3­6 p.m. on Nov. 30.

The cost is $125 per player, and players will receive 6 1/2 hours of instruction focusing on the fundamentals of the game. Included will be skill competitions, games, and prizes. Players will also receive an America's Baseball Camp T-shirt.
