Bright lights illuminate Vasona Park

Thanks to the Santa Clara County Parks and Recreation Department and Silicon Valley Parks Foundation, Vasona Lake County Park will host its massive "Fantasy of Lights" drive-through display. Open until Dec. 31, the park offers 30 light displays, with some as tall as 60 feet. Three new displays have been added this year, including "Happy the Fisherman," Victorian carolers, and a snow family. Visitors are allowed to visit on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights for $13 per car, and Monday through Thursdays for $9 per car.

Free concert with Friends of Library

Friends of the Los Gatos Library will present a holiday music program on Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. at the Town Council Chambers, located at 110 E. Main St. Opening with holiday refreshments, the free event will feature violin and viola duo Soiree Musicale, followed by Ladyesong, a women's choral ensemble.

Donations are needed for families

Holiday donations are now being taken by Sunday Friends, a nonprofit organization founded by Los Gatos resident Janis Baron. Suggested donations include cash, new toys, diapers, gift certificates for teenagers and practical items for adults. These goods will be distributed to homeless and low-income families throughout the area. Donations must be received by Dec. 9. Deliveries can be made at the Los Gatos drop-off site; however, directions are only available by calling 408.793.0441 or 408.390.8582. For more information visit www.sundayfriends.org.
