Disturbance—Nov. 25, 10:32 p.m. Some juveniles were gathered in the picnic area at Alta Vista Elementary School. The caller told police that though the kids were quiet, they had been known to drink alcohol on campus. When police arrived, the juveniles took off running. Officers caught three, all in their teens, and cited a 17-year-old for being drunk in public. He was released to his parent. Around the same time, police received a report of a driver speeding through the area who had driven across the reporting party's lawn.
Battery—Nov. 25, 7:18 p.m. A man bumped into another man outside a shop on Winchester Boulevard, put the latter in a headlock, squeezed him around the neck and slammed him against the wall. The victim reported the incident at the police station.
Warrant Service—Nov. 25, 6:48 p.m. Police arrested a man near Burrows Road and Juanita Way who had two warrants issued by the sheriff's office. The man was charged with driving with a suspended license and other violations.
Drunk In Public—Nov. 25, 6:22 p.m. An intoxicated woman assaulted a nurse at the Community Hospital of Los Gatos. Police arrested the woman on a nearby street and transported her to county jail. The victim chose not to press charges for battery but had the woman charged for being drunk in public.
Burglary—Nov. 25, 6:10 p.m. Someone broke into a locker in a building on Winchester Boulevard and stole a bag and wallet. The caller said the incident took place the day before.
Theft—Nov. 25, 2:51 p.m. A caller on N. Santa Cruz Avenue reported that a $100 wooden compact disk rack was stolen on Nov. 22.
Health Violation—Nov. 25, 2:17 p.m. Three juveniles were cited for possession of marijuana with the intent to sell at Fisher Middle School. Two other juveniles were charged with possession of marijuana. The students were released to their parents.
Theft—Nov. 25, 12:31 p.m. Police arrested a man at a store on Los Gatos Boulevard for shoplifting. The man, who had a prior criminal record, was transported to the police station then released.
Theft—Nov. 24, 10:05 p.m. Police arrested a woman on Los Gatos Boulevard for stealing, then notified her probation officer. The woman was taken to jail.
Vandalism—Nov. 24, 8:22 p.m. A caller on Highland Avenue found feces smeared on her door. The scene was clear when police arrived.
Suspicious Vehicle—Nov. 24, 8:04 p.m. A man had parked his car in front of a house on Blackwell Drive. The homeowner had noticed the man driving around the neighborhood four times but did not know who he was. The man was seen talking on his cellphone.
Suspicious Vehicle—Nov. 24, 4:53 p.m. A caller on Los Gatos Boulevard asked police to check on a motor home parked at the end of a lot. It was unknown whether the vehicle was occupied. The scene was clear when police arrived.
Threat—Nov. 24, 4:14 p.m. A man on Santa Cruz Avenue said his subcontractor had threatened to kill him for writing a check that bounced. The caller said he would make sure the subcontractor got paid. A report was filed.
