Streets closed
to accommodate
holiday parade
The Children's Christmas and Holiday Parade in Los Gatos will result in street closures on Dec. 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., including Santa Cruz Avenue from Highway 9 to Main Street and Main Street from Santa Cruz Avenue to Pleasant Street. Other streets that will be partially closed include Almendra, Bachman, Nicholson, Bean, Tait, Wilder and University avenues. Montebello Way, Village Lane and Victory Lane will also be shut down. No parking will be allowed between 5 a.m. and 3 p.m. along the parade route, on closed streets or in the municipal lot between Bachman and Highway 9.
Town meeting with residents near EMQ
Residents near Eastfield Ming Quong are invited to a neighborhood meeting Dec. 4 to learn about a proposal to add a sidewalk along Loma Alta and Spreckles avenues. The meeting, led by Parks and Public Works Director John Curtis, will begin at 7 p.m. at the neighborhood center, 208 E. Main St. For more information, contact Kris Austin of EMQ at 408.437.8329.

serve on boards,
commissions due
Los Gatos residents interested in serving on one of the town's boards, committees or commissions have until Dec. 5 to submit applications. There are vacancies on the art selection panel, building board of appeals, community service commission, general plan
committee, personnel board and transportation and parking commission. There is also one opening for a student member on the community service commission.
