The most famous reindeer of all
Brian Royston (top) and Bobby Baert string holiday lights on a giant 'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.' The deer was given to Royston by his former neighbor, Baert, who wanted to keep the tradition of having this spectacularly lit reindeer in his old neighborhood. The local version of this famous reindeer was created by Baert and his wife, Yvonne, and consists of a wooden frame wrapped with chicken wire and covered in burlap. By night, Rudolph is aglow with some 4,000 twinkling white lights and sparkling red reins, bow and nose. Rudolph is located in the front yard of the Roystons' house, at the corner of Almendra and Tait avenues.
