The holiday season in Los Gatos can only mean three things—excitement, fun, and a whole lot of people in downtown.
Despite the inclement weather, the people poured onto N. Santa Cruz Avenue and Main Street for the 47th annual Children's Christmas & Holidays Parade on Dec. 6, eagerly awaiting the numerous floats, cars, and marching units to fill the streets with bright color and lively merriment.
The parade winners this year were:
Floats
Commercial: Jiffy Market, first place. Amateur over 12 years: Community Hospital of Los Gatos, first place; Classic Clean of Los Gatos, second place. Amateur under 12 years: Southwest YMCA "Wilderness," first place; Boy Scouts of America Cub Scout Pack 556, second place.
Cars
Commercial, decorated: Yellow Cab, first place; Rose Cleaners, second place. Other decorated: Sizzling Seniors, first place. Antique car/truck built before 1929: Los Gatos Brewing Company, first place; Pete Castonguay, second place.
