Santa Claus will remain in town until Dec. 23

Santa Claus will stay in town until Dec. 23 to visit with the children of Los Gatos. The jolly man in the red suit will be at the town plaza from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 20­23. Participants can have their pictures digitally taken with Santa. For more information, call Judy Glickman at 408.358.7889.

New computer lab caters to senior citizens

A new computer lab meant to provide easy access for senior citizens has opened at the Los Gatos­Saratoga Joint Union High School District office. The district office, at 17421 Farley Road West, has easy access to parking. For information, call the Los Gatos Senior Center at 408.354.1514 or the recreation department at 408.354.8700.

Council gets an update on businesses

The Los Gatos Town Council recently received an update report on work that's taken place since September to address the overconcentration of personal-service businesses in the core downtown district. Town staff has proposed plotting a map identifying all such businesses. The staff may also record the number of ground-floor restaurants in the area. Another report should come before the council in February or March.

VTA runs on modified hours during holidays

The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority's bus, light rail and shuttle services will run on a regular schedule Christmas and New Year's eves.
