Ida Etzkorn

Los Gatos resident Ida Louise Etzkorn died Dec. 1, 2003. She was 91.

A native of Los Gatos, Etzkorn worked throughout her childhood at her father's store—The Los Gatos Market—and as an adult went on to own several businesses. Her last venture was as co-owner of Idamina's, a women's clothing store in downtown Los Gatos.

Etzkorn was known for her love of flowers, music, dancing and travel. She is survived by her sister-in-law Agness Allario and niece Diane Fields. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ernesta Allario; her brother, Louie; and her husband, Harry.

Services have been held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice in the name of Ida Etzkorn.

Eleanor Robison

Eleanor Curtis Robison died Nov. 30, 2003. She was 86.

A second-generation Los Gatan, Robison was born Sept. 13, 1917. She was active in the community through adulthood, volunteering with the Girl Scouts of America and the San Jose Historical Museum and hosting foreign exchange students.

She is survived by her brother, Bob Curtis, daughters JoAnne, Roberta and Jean, sons Douglas and Bruce, 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services have been held. Donations may be made to Live Oak Adult Day Services, 1147 Minnesota Ave., San Jose, 95125.
