Town expands
liquor permit
for Tapestry

The Los Gatos Town Council granted a request to modify Tapestry restaurant's permit from beer and wine to full liquor service. Gary Messick, owner of Tapestry, a California bistro, argued that his business needed the license to stay competitive with other full-service restaurants in the area. Under the council's guidelines, the restaurant may not add a separate bar. Tapestry is located at 11 College Ave., Los Gatos.

Council OKs
development at
Monroe Court

After six years of negotiations, the Los Gatos Town Council approved a plan to demolish four houses at 10 Monroe Court. Developer David Pitzen originally purchased the site in 1998 but met with opposition from neighbors. The approved plan will include community open space for residents and split the lot into three individual plots.
