Arson—Jan. 14, 11:26 a.m. Several juvenile subjects were seen lighting an unknown substance on the side of a building on Pollard Road. The subjects took off on foot and a fire team responded to the scene.
Suspicious circumstances—Jan. 11, 10:11 a.m. A caller reported that he was supposed to meet the owner of a restaurant on N. Santa Cruz Avenue for breakfast but that the business was closed. The caller was concerned that something was wrong, but police did not see anything suspicious.
Suspicious vehicle—Jan. 10, 6:52 p.m. A caller reported a large group of juveniles congregating in a parking lot on Los Gatos Boulevard. Three males in the group were in their vehicles—one, wearing a cowboy hat, was in a gold-colored truck, another was in a black GMC, and another was in his truck yelling to the caller to come outside. All three subjects were revving up their engines. When police arrived, most of the juveniles had left. The police advised the remaining juveniles to keep the noise level down.
Disturbance—Jan. 10, 3:51 p.m. A caller on Bruce Avenue reported that her neighbor threw dog feces into the caller's backyard. When the caller asked the neighbor to explain her actions, the neighbor said that the caller's dog was relieving himself on the neighbor's lawn. The caller says that her dog was not even at home and could not be the culprit.
Use of air gun—Jan. 10, 3:18 p.m. Two males were shooting an air gun into the bushes and trees on Worchester Avenue. Neither subject was aiming at people. Both subjects were later released to their parents.
Suspicious person—Jan. 10, 12:14 p.m. A man was on his way to a drug rehabilitation center when he jumped out of a vehicle and ran into some bushes. Police determined that he was under the influence at the time and was heading west of Lark Avenue.
Vicious animal—Jan. 10, 5:12 p.m. Two dogs tried to attack a man on Meadowbrook Drive. The caller said he had not seen the dogs in the area previously. One dog was a large black pit bull and the second dog was a Labrador mix.
Shots heard—Jan. 9, 10:04 p.m. Several callers reported that shots were heard in the area of Del Cerro Court. One caller reported hearing 20 shots. Another caller reported seeing fireworks in the area at the same time.
Child neglect—Jan. 9, 7:38 p.m. Child protective service requested that the police meet them in front of a home on Arroyo Grande Way. CPS picked up a child from the residence on a CPS order.
