Groundbreaking
for music facility
at Leigh High
Leigh High School administrators, teachers and parents came together on Jan. 6 to break ground for the school's new music department complex. The facility will include practice rooms and instrument- and music-storage areas. Those people wielding shovels at the ceremony included Principal Rick Costanzo; Campbell Union High School District board members Margie Mitchell and Pam Parker; District Superintendent Rhonda Farber; Assistant Superintendent of Personnel Ray Cutten; Instrumental Music Parents Association President Sherry Spangler; and music teachers Richard Alipaz and Stan Neff.

Parents of Los Gatos High School freshmen and sophomores are invited to a Parent Skills Night on Feb. 11 for discussions about body image, peer pressure, sexual boundaries and the party scene. This event—run by the students—is for parents who have not previously attended the night. Attendance is limited to 100. For more information or to attend, call the school at 408.354.2730.
