Police Report
Vicious animal—Jan. 28, 10:50 p.m. A passerby reported seeing a big tan dog on Union Avenue, eating out of a bag and growling at people walking by.

Assault with deadly weapon—Jan. 27, 7:21 p.m. A man tried to run over a woman with his car. The woman was in a parking lot on Union Avenue when she and the man had an argument over the parking space. The man had left by the time police arrived at the scene.

Solicitor—Jan. 27, 6:12 p.m. A man was selling magazines on Natalie Drive. According to the police report, several solicitors have frequented the area recently. Police left a note on the man's vehicle.

Suspicious circumstances—Jan. 27, 5:03 p.m. A man reported that he was being chased down Teresita Way by a large white pickup truck. Police could not find the vehicle in question and the man decided to go back home to San Leandro.

Suspicious person—Jan. 27, 4:28 p.m. A man was sitting in his Dodge pickup on Harding Avenue. When a resident approached the man, he said he was a lawyer and a doctor and continued to sit in the car for 90 minutes. By the time police arrived, the man had left the area.

Disturbance—Jan. 25, 9:22 p.m. A woman reported that she was in an argument with her husband earlier that day when he slapped their daughter, a high school student, across the face and called the girl a bad name. The woman said that after the incident, she took her kids to a friend's house but that she needed to go back to her house for clothes for her children. Police escorted the woman to her house without any further incidents.

Missing person—Jan. 24, 12:59 p.m. A woman left a hospital on Los Gatos Almaden Road without authorization to see some friends who had stopped by to visit her. According to the police report, the woman was admitted to the hospital on a 14-day hold due to manic depression. Staff members at the hospital were unable to keep the woman from leaving. Police issued a bulletin to find the woman.

Prowler—Jan. 24, 1:31a.m. A man dressed in a dark sweatshirt and jeans entered the backyard of a house on Bonnie Lane and started taking pictures of the house. When a woman inside the home noticed the man, he fled. The woman's brother, who was also inside the house at the time, chased the man toward Shannon Road but could not catch him.

Disturbance argument—Jan. 23, 10:51 p.m. A woman reported that her husband was being verbally abusive, calling her names. According to the report, the husband was drunk when police surveyed the scene on Maria Teresa Court. The couple agreed to stay on different floors of the house for the rest of the evening.

Sleeping—Jan. 23, 7:44 p.m. A man was seen sleeping in the driveway of a residence on Blossom Hill Road. When police officers asked the man what he was doing, the man responded that he had lost his way from San Jose. The man was then sent on his way back home.
