Dubois vacates his planning commission seat

Paul Dubois left his position as chairman of the Los Gatos Planning Commission on Jan. 28. Dubois, who has been with the commission for the past four years, decided not to renew his appointment so that he can pursue other goals. The Los Gatos Town Council is expected to fill the vacant seat at its Feb. 2 meeting. The town council meets at 7 p.m. in council chambers at 110 E. Main St.

Vice Chairwoman Jeanne Drexel will assume the position of chairwoman at the Feb. 11 planning commission meeting; Joanne Talesfore will succeed Drexel as vice chairwoman.

The Los Gatos Town Council is expected to fill Dubois' vacant seat at its Feb. 2 meeting. The town council meets at 7 p.m. in council chambers at 110 E. Main St.

Mayor delivers State of Town
address

Los Gatos Mayor Steve Glickman will deliver his State of the Town address in town council chambers on Feb. 9, 6 p.m.

Senior center
solicits cell
phone donations

The Los Gatos Senior Center is asking residents to donate their used cell phones, including any additional battery and charger equipment. Phones will be given to Los Gatos senior citizens for 911 emergency calls only. For more information, call 408.354.1514.

talent show

The Los Gatos Senior Center and the Live Oak Nutrition and Service Center are looking for seniors (ages 50 and up) to participate in "Senior Idol," a talent show. Events help to
educate voters
in Los Gatos

The League of Women Voters of Santa Clara County and the 55+ Program will present two events to help voters understand issues and candidates in the upcoming March election. Representatives from the league will discuss the pros and cons of the various ballot initiatives on Feb. 11 at 1 p.m. The league will also host a forum for candidates running for the 21st district state assembly seat Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. Both events will be held at the Los Gatos Neighborhood Center, 208 E.
