Police Report
Malicious mischief—Feb. 4, 7:12 p.m. A man was driving his car on Shannon Road when a projectile hit a window. The glass shattered and the man sustained cuts on his knuckles from the falling glass. He did not report seeing anyone in the area.

Grand theft—Feb. 3, 10:07 p.m. A man stole a piece of medical equipment valued at $1,200 from a hospital on Pollard Road and took it to his vehicle. A security guard at the hospital took the man into custody, but when police arrived, the man had left the scene.

Assault and battery—Feb. 3, 9:01 a.m. Two students at Los Gatos High School were involved in a pushing match. According to the police report, the fight started earlier in the day but was broken up. After school that same day, the two students continued the fight. When police arrived at the scene, one student was down on the ground. Los Gatos High School officials said they would take care of the matter that occurred during school hours, but requested that the police cite both students for trespassing.

Vandalism—Feb. 2, 10:56 p.m. A woman was driving her car on N. Santa Cruz Avenue when she heard a loud pop. When she pulled over to investigate, she found a BB inside the vehicle. There were no injuries to the occupants inside the car and there was no damage to the car.

Hazardous materials—Feb. 2, 6:10 p.m. A hazardous materials team responded to a report of a possible gas leak near Vasona Park. An off-duty San Jose firefighter reported the incident. The hazardous materials team tracked the gas odor to a nearby parking lot, where they found a truck leaking oil.

School burglary—Feb. 2, 9 a.m. Some money was stolen from the office at the Peppertree School. There were no signs of forced entry, but a window separating some offices was shattered.

Bomb threat—Jan. 31, 7:58 p.m. A man reported that a bomb, in a brown paper bag, was in the middle of a restaurant and set to detonate in 47 minutes and 57 seconds. When the 911 dispatcher asked the man what restaurant the bomb was in, the man stated that it was at Gordon Biersch. According to the police report, when the dispatcher informed the man that there was no Gordon Biersch in Los Gatos, the man asked "What about the Brewing Company?" The management at the Los Gatos Brewing Company was informed, but did not find anything in the restaurant.

Trespassing—Jan. 30, 11:34 p.m. A party hostess requested that the police clear people out of her home. She told police that she didn't invite some of the people to her residence and wanted those individuals to leave.

Hit and run—Jan. 30, 10:53 p.m. A man backed into a black Acura at 110 Oak Rim Way, parked his vehicle in front of the Acura and then left. The owner of the Acura later left a note on the man's vehicle. When the man came back to move his vehicle, he threw the note on the ground and drove off.

Indecent exposure—Jan. 30, 2:37 p.m. A woman reported hearing that a 50-year-old male exposed himself in the park on Blossom Hill Road. She did not witness the incident but called again after she saw the man in question walk back into the park. When the man saw the woman watching him, he fled from the scene.
