Williams earns
dean's list spot
at Holy Cross
Erica Williams, a first-year student at the College of the Holy Cross, has been named to the dean's list for the first semester of the 200304 academic year. Williams, the daughter of Dave and Judy Williams of Monte Sereno and a graduate of Los Gatos High School, is an English major.
Williams has continued her running career at Holy Cross, which is located in Worcester, Mass. She is a member of the women's varsity cross country team and finished second for Holy Cross at the Patriot League Championships.

School to host
frosh parents
Los Gatos High School is hosting a parents-only visitation day Feb. 27 for all parents of eighth-graders. To take a guided tour of the school, meet in the main hall near the front doors. Tours begin at 8:40 a.m., 9:48 a.m., 10:43 a.m., 12:13 p.m., 1:08 p.m. and 2:25 p.m. so that parents can observe classes in session. New facilities and classrooms will be shown, including those for science, history, world languages, math and the library. Parking will not be available on campus, but refreshments will be provided. Smith named
to dean's list
at Portland
Jamie Smith of Los Gatos earned a place on the fall 2003 dean's list at the University of Portland. Smith is a sophomore majoring in biology at the school, which is located in Portland, Ore. Smith had to attain a grade point average of at least 3.5 to make the dean's list.
