Los Gatos High School graduate Birgit Johnston and her husband, Jim, welcomed the birth of a son, Lucas Sergio Johnston, on Jan. 30. Lucas was born at Good Samaritan Hospital, weighing 6 pounds, 10 ounces.

Melanie Brownie Schomberg, a former Los Gatos resident, and her husband, Brian, announced the birth of a son, Kaden Joseph Schomberg, on Feb. 1, 5:20 p.m., at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was 7 pounds, 6 ounces. The family currently resides in Willow Glen.
