Police Report
Suspicious circumstances—March 10, 7:25 p.m. A man was seen in a parking lot on Winchester Boulevard trying to sell a vehicle to a group of young adults. When a bystander asked the man what he was doing, the man replied that he would be gone in a few minutes.

Welfare check—March 10, 6:26 p.m. Police checked on a woman who lived by herself on Union Avenue. A friend of the woman told police that no one had answered the phone at the woman's residence for weeks and the phone line now appeared to be dead. The phone company checked the line but found nothing wrong. Police were unable to locate the woman.

Unstable person—March 10, 5:37 p.m. A male patient at Mission Oaks Hospital pulled the fire alarm on the psychiatric floor and started spraying the fire extinguisher. He then left the hospital. He was wearing a maroon track outfit. According to the police report, the patient has attempted to escape the hospital several times before. He had been admitted to the hospital for psychotic episodes. A fire unit found the patient later that day and took him back to the hospital.

Solicitor—March 10, 5:17 p.m. A man was seen going door to door in a neighborhood near Blossom Hill Road. The man told residents that he was fundraising. He was wearing an earring, a white shirt and tan shorts.

Domestic disturbance—March 7, 12:46 a.m. A woman told police that her boyfriend has been beating her. When police arrived at the boyfriend's home on Mozart Avenue, the boyfriend locked himself inside his bathroom and wouldn't come out. He appeared to be drunk.

Battery—March 6, 7:50 p.m. A 14-year-old punched a friend in the face. He left the scene in a beige or silver vehicle. The 14-year-old also allegedly shoved a female bystander.

Suspicious person—March 6, 3:29 a.m. A man was seen sitting down on the creek trail, smoking. When a bystander asked the man what he was doing, the man didn't respond. The man later told police that he was just out for a walk, smoking a cigar, and was on his way home.

Drunk in public—March 6, 2:05 a.m. A caller reported that a man walking on Carlton Avenue asked if he could purchase drugs from the caller. The man was wearing a blue shirt and white pants and appeared to be drunk.

Disturbance—March 5, 1:49 p.m. Anti-abortion protestors were reported to be causing a disturbance outside Los Gatos High School. The protestors were handing out pamphlets to students.
