The town of Los Gatos is planning "Keep Los Gatos Beautiful Month" for 2004 and is looking for ideas to help keep the community attractive. During April, the town will host special activities and projects dedicated to keeping Los Gatos beautiful.

Groups and individuals are invited to pitch ideas for the event. Possible project ideas include but are not limited to park projects, adopt a park trail, creek-trail cleanup, neighborhood parking-strip beautification and school cleanup.

Street will
close on
St. Pat's Day

The Los Gatos­Monte Sereno Police Department will close Bachman Avenue between N. Santa Cruz Avenue and Wilder Avenue on March 17 for C.B. Hannegan's St. Patrick's Day Festival. The street will be closed all day, from approximately 6 a.m. to midnight. C.B. Hannegan's is located at 208 Bachman Ave. For more information on the festival, call C.B. PlaneTree Health
Library offers
lecture series

The PlaneTree Health Library will hold four free seminars in April on various topics associated with aging.

The lectures are offered each Saturday in April from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Call 408.358.8483 to reserve a seat.
