It took them four games to do it, but the Los Gatos Wildcats rolled to their second win of the young boys volleyball season in the De Anza Division of the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League.

The Cats topped Homestead 25-20, 16-25, 25-21, 25-14 to move to 2-0 in league play.

Up front, Sam Moisenco had five solo blocks and three blocking assists and McDowell had a couple of solo blocks and five assists.

Catanese added three service aces and Pfeifer and Register also served well for Gatos.

The Wildcats came back later in the week to make short work of St. Francis in a non-league match. Gatos rolled 25-23, 25-9, 25-17 to improve to 11-0 for the year.

Catanese and Fletcher Anderson shared kill honors with eight apiece. Moisenco added six and Register had three.

Los Gatos capped the week by finishing second in the Leland Charger Classic. The Wildcats cruised to a 25-21, 25-19 win over Willow Glen in the semifinals, but lost a tough 20-25, 25-23, 15-12 nod to Mt. Madonna in the championship match.
