Easter Bunny's coming, and he's hiding goodies for kids
By My Ngo
Shhhh ... be vewy, vewy quiet. The Easter Bunny is out of hibernation, which can only mean one thing.

It's time to go hunting.

But leave the nets and traps at home. All that's needed is a good attitude and a basket to hold some goodies.

Goodies? That's right. The eighth annual Bunny Fun Hunt, hosted by the Los GatosSaratoga Community Education and Recreation Center, is just around the corner, on April 3.

Starting at 10 a.m. on the front lawn at Los Gatos High School, 20 High School Court, kids—and adults, if desired—can participate in a number of activities. There will be eight ponies available for rides, an Astro jump house for the movers and bouncers and plenty of pizza and hot dogs to go around. Guests will also have a wide selection of carnival games to choose from, including ring toss, beanbag tic-tac-toe and potato-sack races.

And, of course, what's a Bunny Fun Hunt without an egg hunt? There will be four separate times for different age groups. Those 2 years old and under will be able to hunt for chocolate egg candies and plastic eggs containing sweet treats and toys at 10:45 a.m., and children ages 34 will have their turn at 11:30 a.m. The egg hunt for children ages 57 will begin at noon, while the last group, ages 810, will have its turn at 12:30 p.m.

"This is our way of giving back to the community," says Pam Moore of the recreation center.

The event will go on rain or shine. If it rains, candy and egg treats will be passed out on the sidewalks instead of tossed onto the lawn.

Even if it does rain, Moore says she doesn't expect it to keep people away.
