Martha Alderson and her fellow Friends of the Los Gatos Public Library will give children ages 8 to 12 tips on how to create a compelling story in their workshop for young writers on April 24. Held in the Neighborhood Center, 208 E. Main St., the 2 ¹/2-hour class teaches students the fundamentals of plot and character development.

Demolition
of JCC, new
center coming

The Addison-Penzak Jewish Community Center in Los Gatos will be demolished April 1 at 10 a.m. The site will be the future home of the Gloria and Ken Levy Family Campus, housing the Jewish Federation of Greater San Jose, the Addison-Penzak Jewish Community Center, Yavneh Day School and Jewish Family Service.
