Family disturbance—March 24, 11:24 p.m. A father grabbed his son's throat and pushed him out the front door after the two had had an argument. The father had accused his son of taking money from a safe and reportedly told his son to confess or receive a beating. The son met police at another location and was brought back home to talk with his parents.
Family disturbance—March 23, 4:32 p.m. The father of a 15-year-old girl reported that his daughter had run away from their home. The father said that he and his daughter had had a fight earlier and that each had threatened the other. The father also reported having grabbed his daughter's arms. Police found the girl and took her to a friend's house for the night. Her mother said she would be back in town the next day to work out custody issues.
Disturbance argument—March 21, 3:50 a.m. A cab driver called for assistance with a difficult female customer. The cab driver said that the woman would not pay for her ride. The matter was resolved when friends of the woman decided to pay for her.
Person with gun—March 20, 9:56 p.m. A man reported seeing two teenagers driving in a white Jeep Cherokee on N. Santa Cruz Avenue, one waving a gun. The teenager was not pointing the gun at any specific location but was holding the gun up.
Prowler—March 20, 9:34 p.m. A woman was standing in the bedroom of her home on Meadowbrook Drive when she saw someone standing on her deck, watching her. Police checked the area, but could not find the prowler.
Suspicious person—March 20, 9:33 p.m. A woman reported that a man with dark hair and eyes was following her on N. Santa Cruz Avenue. When she confronted the man, he turned around and went in the opposite direction.
Suspicious person—March 19, 9:04 a.m. A 40-year-old man wearing a straw hat was seen standing on N. Santa Cruz Avenue yelling at himself. The subject told police he was just making a political statement.
Disturbance argument—March 18, 9:38 p.m. A mother and her 15-year-old son got into a verbal dispute with each other. Neighbors said the fight was escalating.
