It's that time of year again! Wipe off the layer of dust on that old table sitting in the garage, polish those pieces of silverware and get ready for the biggest shopping spree in town. The annual Community Garage Sale will take place on May 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., so don't wait to start the spring cleaning.

The event is a partnership between Los Gatos, Monte Sereno and the Santa Clara County Recycling and Waste Reduction Program. Those wishing to participate must register with the town's recycling coordinator, Lauren Mende Tacke, at 408.399.5796 by May 1.

Walk for a
cure and
win a prize

Join friends, family members and other Bay Area residents in the fight against multiple sclerosis in the 2004 Rainmaker MS Walk on April 17. Participants in the 10-mile walk will trek the Los Gatos Creek Trail and be treated to a massage, a barbecue lunch and prizes at the finish at Los Gatos High School. There will be several rest stops along the route.

The Photographic Guild of Los Gatos is accepting black and white, color and digital photographs from students 18 and under to be included in the 36th annual Photographic Contest for Junior Photographers.
