K.C. Silva drove in the winning run in one game and scored the winning run in another to help the Astros jump out to a quick 2-0 start in the Los Gatos Pony League baseball season.

Silva had three hits to drive in four runs, including the game winner, for the Astros in a 10-9 win over the Giants on April 4. Andrew Gomez and Kevin Messa had two hits apiece for the Giants.

Two days later, Silva raced home with the winning run on a fly ball by Ben Campbell to lift the Astros to a tight 4-3 win over the Cubs. The game was called after five innings because of darkness.

Campbell had two hits in the win for the Astros and Matt Polizzi had two hits for the Cubs.

The Giants and Cubs had both won the previous Saturday. The Giants whipped the A's 9-3 and the Cubs topped the Orioles 7-5. The Yankees beat the Red Sox 13-1 the same day.

Messa singled and tripled to lead the Giants to their Saturday win.

C.J. Olsen had three hits, including a triple, and Hank Hansen singled and tripled to lead the offensive attack for the Cubs in the win over the O's. Brett Litle drove in three runs in the win and Jackson Dallas struck out six.

Jake Scullion doubled twice and singled to lead the Orioles and Blake Morrison fanned seven in three strong innings.

Garrett Blackwell stroked three hits and Sam Panvini doubled and tripled to drive in four runs to lead the Yanks past the Red Sox 13-1.

Brett LaBombarda knocked in the game's only run in the Red Sox's tight 1-0, eight-inning win over the Orioles.

The O's came back with a 12-9 win over the A's. Morrison had three hits in the win. Kiko Alonso had two hits for the A's and Chad Mardesich tripled.
