community
garage sale

The town of Los Gatos will hold its annual community garage sale on May 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is a partnership among Los Gatos, Monte Sereno and the Santa Clara County Recycling and Waste Reduction Program. Those wishing to participate must register with the town's recycling coordinator, Lauren Mende Tacke, at 408.399.5796 by May 1. Visit www.losgatosca.gov.

Postal food
drive coming
to Los Gatos

The National Association of Letter Carriers is encouraging town residents to participate in its 12th annual Postal Food Drive on May 8. Those interested can leave a bag of nonperishable items next to the mailbox during regular mail-delivery times. Monetary donations are also acceptable. Checks should be made payable to the Second Harvest Food Bank. Los Gatos has had the second-highest number of donations in the county for two consecutive years.

Foundation hosts
garden tours at
mountain homes

The Loma Prieta Community Foundation is hosting its second annual Spring Mountain Garden Tour and Brunch, which includes a brunch buffet and garden tours of homes in the Summit area, including Maison du Lac. The event takes place on Mother's Day weekend on May 8 and 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Brunch will be served between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the Garden Terrace of the Loma Prieta Community Center, 23800 Summit Road, Los Gatos. For more information, call 408.353.8025.
