Following recent fatalities along Highway 9, Monte Sereno neighbors JoAnne Peth and Lana Malloy are forming a committee dedicated to improving pedestrian and bicycle safety along scenic Los Gatos­Saratoga Road. They are seeking residents of Los Gatos, Saratoga and Monte Sereno, including homeowners who live on Highway 9, to join their campaign.

program will
begin April 20

The Los Gatos­Monte Sereno Police Department is recruiting volunteers for its next Community Education Response Team class.

Nursery school
hosts 16th annual
children's fair

The Los Gatos Parent Nursery School, a cooperative preschool in operation since 1946, is holding its 16th annual Children's Fantasy Faire on May 1 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event will take place on the front lawn of Los Gatos High School, 20 High School Court. Admission is free.

The festival will feature midway games for children ages 2­7 and will include games, crafts, animals, food and drinks, a raffle, an auction and outdoor entertainment. For more information, call 408.354.1433 or visit www.lgparentnursery.org.
