Police Report
Commercial burglary—April 21, 5:49 p.m. A tip jar containing $300 was stolen from a business on Blossom Hill Road. The perpetrator was described as an 18- to 19-year-old man of medium build.

Assault and battery—April 20, 5:45 p.m. A 12-year-old student at Fisher Middle School reportedly pushed another student, who suffered a broken wrist. The injured student said that she had been pushed intentionally by the 12-year-old. Fisher administrators informed the parent of the injured student that they would look into the matter.

Missing juvenile—April 19, 9:19 p.m. A 14-year-old boy with brown eyes and a thin build was reported as missing. The boy left a residence on Oka Lane after having an argument over his homework with his parent. The boy returned home shortly after the police were notified.

Disturbance argument—April 19, 9:05 p.m. A girl alleged that her father had thrown a calculator at her head when the two were arguing over the girl's math homework. The girl said her father was not aware that she was calling the police.

Residential burglary—April 16, 10:36 p.m. A woman reported that someone had broken into her home on Tait Avenue. She believed that the perpetrator was the same man who knocked on her door two hours before the incident. The woman initially told the man to go away, but she believed he came back and broke into her residence.

Domestic violence—April 15, 9:35 p.m. A man reportedly attacked his wife and children, throwing pots and pans at his family. The man left, driving down Lark Avenue toward Highway 17.

Unstable person—April 15, 9:24 p.m. A 22-year-old man told his friends that he had a gun and was going to commit suicide. The man was in his car on Union Avenue, outside a cafe. He told his friends that if he saw any police officers, he would shoot himself immediately. The man reportedly had been kicked out of the police academy two days before the incident and had broken up with his girlfriend that day. The police department arranged for the man's friend to give him a cell phone, so that the police could communicate with the man but stay out of his sight. A friend persuaded the man to unload his gun and the man was transported to Valley Medical Center.

Vandalism—April 15, 9:12 p.m. A man in his 20s punched out a window of a restaurant on Bachman Avenue. The man also put his arm through the glass, causing injuries to his right bicep. The man was treated for his wounds and then booked into jail.
