Solicitor—May 5, 8:44 p.m. A 16-year-old male with short hair, a black headband and black clothing stated he was a high school student soliciting funds for college at an address on Blanchard Drive in Monte Sereno near Vineland Avenue. A police officer checked the area but found no one matching the description.
Disturbing argument—May 5, 6:34 p.m. A 14-year-old boy on Mulberry Drive called 911 as a threat because he wasn't getting his way with his mother. There was only a verbal, not a physical, argument between the juvenile and his mother.
Theft—May 5, 1:13 p.m. A change purse was taken from an address on Los Gatos Boulevard containing money, identification and jewelry.
Stolen vehicle—May 5, 9:50 a.m. A 1998 white Ford Explorer, with a sunroof, was stolen from a car dealership on Los Gatos Boulevard and was last seen on April 15. The caller was reporting a possible suspect.
Hit and run—May 5, 7:09 a.m. A hit-and-run accident occurred on Winchester Boulevard near Lark Avenue. A black Honda, driven by an Asian, struck a white Ford Explorer and fled the scene.
Miscellaneous animal—May 4, 8:01 p.m. A caller reported two pitbulls in the yard at a residence on Regent Drive, near Blossom Hill Road, unleashed and running into the street chasing people. The dog owner was contacted and advised by authorities of leash laws. The owner said the dogs were purebred boxers and were very friendly.
