Town recruits
teenagers for
advisory board

The town of Los Gatos will be recruiting students to apply for a newly formed youth commission.

Students who live in Los Gatos or have a Los Gatos mailing address (in Santa Clara County) and attend a Los Gatos school are eligible to apply. Applications are available at Town Hall; by contacting Jackie Rose at 408.354.6834 or jrose@losgatosca.gov; or on the town's website at www.losgatosca.gov; they are due by May 19.

Interviews will be held on May 25. The town council will make official appointments on June 7.

Guardino guest speaker at League lunch

The League of Women Voters of Southwest Santa Clara Valley will host its annual luncheon on May 22 at 9:30 a.m. at The Terraces, 800 Blossom Hill. Guest speaker Carl Guardino, president and CEO of the Silicon Valley Manufacturing Group, will speak about issues relating to transportation, housing and the job market.
