Edith Miller

Edith Marie Coffee Miller, 82, died on April 27 at Vasona Creek Care Center from natural causes. A Los Gatos resident, Miller was born in San Francisco. She served as a volunteer nurse's aide and a civil service employee for the U.S. Navy. She enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps just after the outbreak of the Korean War and quickly rose to the rank of sergeant.

An accomplished musician, Miller was heavily involved with the St. Mary's Church Choir. She belonged to the Young Ladies Institute and the Lay Order of Carmelites.

Among several things in life, Miller enjoyed camping, hiking, camping, dining and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, William; her sons, Frederic Luen and Andrew Miller, and their wives, Molly Slete and Toni; her daughters, Mary Miller and Caroline Williams; her son-in-law, Sidney; and grandchildren Conan, Gillian, Brandi, Stephanie and Sean.

Daniel O'Reilly

Daniel O'Reilly, 43, died on April 26 from a biking accident that occurred on Mark West Springs Road north of Santa Rosa. He was hit by a suspected drunken driver.

O'Reilly grew up in Los Gatos and lived in Sonoma. After graduating from UC­Santa Cruz and California State University, Northridge, he worked for the San Francisco Ballet. He went on to become a market analyst for Kendall-Jackson Wine Estates.

He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Patricia, and his two children, Erin, 12, and Siobhan, 7.
