Missing People—June 30, 12:29 a.m. A woman reported her husband and son missing. She went to bed at 10:30 p.m. and woke up at 11:45 p.m. to find them gone. She said they left between those times and she was not aware that they planned to go anywhere. Shortly after the responding officer left to look for them, the woman reported that they returned from seeing a movie.
Unstable Person—June 28, 5:30 p.m. A man flagged down a patrolling officer and said his girlfriend was suicidal and threatening to take pills or cut herself in a Vista Del Monte residence. The officer found the woman lying on a bed, visibly upset and crying. When the officer tried to speak to her, she started screaming and became combative. She was determined to be a danger to herself and others, placed on a 72-hour hold and transferred to the county emergency psychiatric services facility.
Auto Burglary—June 28, between 11:30 a.m. and 2:50 p.m. Someone stole 10 compact discs, two suitcases, a briefcase, a leather jacket and a child's Crayola bank containing $400 from a vehicle parked on Oka Road.
Drug Possession—June 28, 1:38 p.m. Officers responded to a call reporting that movers on SaratogaLos Gatos Road had possibly stolen a $5,000 diamond bracelet. When they searched the movers' vehicles, one of the officers found a black plastic film canister containing cellophane wrap with a white powder and a folded piece of paper containing marijuana. One of the movers was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. The bracelet was later brought to the homeowner by a mover who said he found it in a box of clothing.
Warrant Self-Surrender—June 28, 1:27 p.m. An 18-year-old man went to the police station to turn himself in. He had an outstanding warrant from the department for possessing alcohol as a minor.
Drunk in Public—June 25, 5:58 a.m. An officer responded to a call reporting a man "down" on the sidewalk near University Avenue and Chester Street. The officer arrived to find a 22-year-old man asleep on the sidewalk. His clothing appeared disheveled and he had scrapes and cuts on his knee, face and torso.
