Patricia Ann Thornton
Patricia Ann Thornton, 69, died on June 23 in Hospice Savannah, Ga.
Thornton was born and raised in Boston and had lived in Savannah since October 2003. She and her husband traveled all over the world, living in Boca Raton, Fla., Nashville, Tenn., Arkansas, West Virginia, Australia, Canada and Los Gatos.
While in Arkansas, she owned and operated a nursery, greenhouse and landscape business as well as a gift shop. She avidly volunteered with wildlife and conservationist organizations including the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center in Boca Raton, where she volunteered for more than 10 years.
She is survived by her husband, Bluford M. Thornton of Savannah; daughter and son-in-law Terri and Donald Adams of Savannah; sister Audrey Hall Mendoza of Cave Creek, Ariz.; and four grandchildren, Cortney Erin Adams, Amy Elizabeth Adams, Brent Isaac Adams and Bryan Thornton.
