Petty Theft—July 13, 8:20 p.m. A 46-year-old woman placed an item in her purse while inside a grocery store on Los Gatos Boulevard and exited without paying. She was placed under citizen's arrest by the store's loss-prevention officer and transported to the police station. She was cited and released.
Burglary—Between July 12, 10 p.m., and July 13, 6 a.m. Someone entered a residential garage on Almond Hill Court and stole a bicycle.
Spousal Battery—A 34-year-old woman reported that her boyfriend pushed her into a patio table at their Monroe Court home and fled before police arrived.
Under the Influence—July 11, 3 a.m. An officer stopped a plumbing van that was being driven around closed businesses in an industrial area. The driver, a 31-year-old man, gave the officer his name and was determined to be under the influence of a stimulant. The officer discovered the man had given a false name and determined his actual identity. He had a warrant for his arrest and a suspended driver's license. A blood specimen was taken and he was booked into jail.
Petty Theft—Between July 1 and July 11. A 77-year-old woman reported that her front license plate, insurance and registration papers and cellular phone were stolen from her car on Escobar Avenue.
Drunk in Public—July 10, 3:40 a.m. An officer found a 29-year-old man asleep behind the wheel of a vehicle parked halfway up on a raised cement island on N. Santa Cruz Avenue. He smelled of alcohol and became hostile and combative with police officers. He was arrested and booked into jail.
Mail Theft—July 9, between 3 and 5 p.m. Mail was stolen from a curbside mailbox on Withey Road in Monte Sereno.
Threatening Phone Calls—July 9, 9:44 p.m. A 16-year-old boy told police a 15-year-old boy had called his Castlewood Drive home and made criminal threats. The younger boy was cited at his home.
