Auto Burglary—Sept. 14, between 6:20 and 9:09 p.m. Someone smashed the front passenger window of a vehicle parked at Blossom Hill Park and stole the owner's wallet, keys and stereo.
False Identification—Sept. 14, 1:19 a.m. An officer stopped a vehicle at Highway 17 and Lark Avenue because the 24-year-old woman at the wheel had outstanding misdemeanor warrants. When approached, the woman lied about her identity. She was arrested for the warrants and for falsely identifying herself to police.
Hit and Run—Sept. 13, 7:45 p.m. A 23-year-old man crashed his car into the back of another vehicle at Lark Avenue and Los Gatos Boulevard, causing a chain reaction of collisions into two other vehicles. He fled the scene, but was followed by witnesses. He abandoned his car about one-quarter mile away, fleeing on foot. He was stopped and the witnesses identified him as the driver. He was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Police arrested the man and booked him into jail.
Threats—Sept. 13, 10:10 a.m. A patient in the emergency room at a Pollard Road hospital reportedly threatened to kill hospital staff members. The 24-year-old man was known to staff and had a history of mental illness. He was arrested and booked into jail for making criminal threats.
Felony Warrant—Sept. 12, 1:26 a.m. A police officer stopped a 40-year-old man for riding his bicycle without a headlight during darkness on Los Gatos Boulevard at Lark Avenue. A records check revealed that the man had an outstanding $25,000 child-molestation warrant. He was arrested and booked into jail.
Drunk in Public—Sept. 11, 9:27 a.m. Police received a report of a woman who was intoxicated behind a N. Santa Cruz Avenue bar. An officer arrived to find a 50-year-old woman unconscious on the rear stairs of the bar. The officer woke her up and discovered that she was in fact intoxicated. She also had an outstanding $1,000 warrant. She was arrested and booked into jail.
