Longtime Los Gatos resident Bob Scholz, 82, a U.S. Army veteran, chuckles with family friend Julia Thomas, an eighth-grader at Raymond J. Fisher Middle School, while revisiting some of his more humorous World War II memories. Scholz was participating in an assignment for Julia's history class related to Veterans Day in which she interviewed the veteran and put together a report and poster about him.
