Forgery—Jan. 3, 8:48 a.m. A 29-year-old woman used a counterfeit $100 bill to make a purchase at Safeway on Union Avenue. She was arrested and booked into county jail.
Battery—Jan. 2, 1:48 a.m. A 22-year-old woman reportedly hit a 52-year-old man and threw a drinking glass at him on N. Santa Cruz Avenue. He requested a citizen's arrest on the woman for battery.
Driving Under the Influence—Jan. 1, 12:49 a.m. A 23-year-old man ran a red light on Highway 9 at University Avenue, and a woman hit his car. He fled the scene in his car, but the woman and a male witness followed him down University Avenue, where he ran several stop signs and drove on the wrong side of the road. The woman cut his vehicle off with her car, and the witness parked his car behind it, boxing him in. Police arrived and arrested the man for drunken driving and committing a hit-and-run accident. He was booked into jail.
Auto Burglary—Dec. 31 between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. Someone entered a vehicle on Oka Road and stole credit cards that were later used fraudulently.
Vandalism—Dec. 29, 1:29 p.m. A 14-year-old boy threw a bottle from the Main Street Bridge onto Highway 17, damaging the windshield of a van driving southbound. The boy was cited for vandalism and released to his father.
Forgery—Dec. 29, 1:27 p.m. A 42-year-old woman attempted to cash a stolen and forged check at Provident Credit Union on Los Gatos Boulevard. She was arrested for possession of forged notes and stolen property and booked into county jail.
Stolen Vehicle—Between Dec. 28, 11 p.m., and Dec. 29, 11 a.m. Someone stole a Honda Civic that was parked on Clearview Drive.
Underage Sales—Dec. 29, 12:05 a.m. A man called the police to report that a liquor store on Blossom Hill Road had sold alcohol to his 19-year-old son.
False Imprisonment—Dec. 29, 9:23 p.m. A woman reported that her 32-year-old husband parked his vehicle in front of the vehicle in which she was a passenger on S. Santa Cruz Avenue and prevented her from leaving the area. He then attempted to strike the male driver of the vehicle. Her husband was arrested for false imprisonment and assault and was transported to county jail.
Vandalism—Dec. 28, 5:15 p.m. A man reported that an unknown object—possibly a rock—hit his van while he was driving south on Highway 17 just north of The Cats restaurant. The driver's-side mirror, window, seal and door were damaged.
Spousal Abuse—Dec. 29, 3 p.m. A woman reported that her 25-year-old former live-in boyfriend struck her twice in the face during an argument in his car in a Los Gatos Boulevard parking lot.
Child Abuse—Dec. 27, 7:15 p.m. A 38-year-old man struck his juvenile son on San Benito Avenue causing physical trauma.
Theft—Between Dec. 25, 9 p.m., and Dec. 27, 7 a.m. Two reindeer Christmas decorations on Johnson Avenue were vandalized on the night of Dec. 25 and stolen the night of Dec. 26.
