A masked, armed man entered a Safeway grocery store on Union Avenue in Los Gatos on Jan. 8 and robbed the Wells Fargo branch inside. The man entered at approximately 6:10 p.m., according to a police report of the incident.
"He came in flashing a gun and he said, 'Gimme all your money,'" branch manager Bu Nguyen said. The man demanded the same of a Safeway employee, he said, but she was unable to open her locked register. The man spent no more than five minutes inside the busy store, according to Nguyen.
