Margherita G. Arnaudo

Margherita Giraudo Arnaudo, 91, died on Nov. 20. Arnaudo was born in Vignolo, Italy. She came to Los Gatos with her husband, Pietro, in 1934.

Arnaudo and her husband lived and worked at the Montezuma Mountain School for Boys until 1955, and Arnaudo also worked at Kerful Laundry and Cadre for many years. She was a member of the Italian Catholic Federation, working for the organization for many years, and a member of the Italian American Club. Arnaudo loved to cook, and was called "Grandma" by many who knew her.

Arnaudo is survived by her son Donald Arnaudo and his wife Rose of Monte Sereno; her granddaughter Claudia Arnaudo Leon and her husband Mario of Watsonville; her grandchildren Stefan and Anna Arnaudo of Monte Sereno; her great-grandchildren Brandon and Colin Leon; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In Italy, she is survived by her brother Michele Giraudo and his wife Lucia; and her sisters-in-law Mariucia and Lucia Giraudo. She was predeceased by her husband, three brothers and two sisters.

Burial was at the Los Gatos Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cooley's Anemia Research, c/o Toutou Vongphrachanch, Thalassemia Outreach, Dept. Hem/Onc, 747 52nd St., Oakland, CA 94143; or to the Montezuma Foundation, P.O. Box 73, Los Gatos, CA 95031.

May Duggins

May R. Duggins, 81, of Los Gatos died on Dec. 27.

Duggins was preceded in death by her son Michael and her husband of 55 years, Glenn Duggins. She is survived by her son David and his wife Kirsten Duggins of Los Gatos; her granddaughter Tori Duggins of San Jose; her granddaughter Erika Duggins of Manhattan Beach; and her sister June and her husband Arnold Holden of Seattle.

Donations can be made in her name to any charity. In keeping with her wishes, a private internment will be held at Los Gatos Memorial Park.

Martin Teeple

Martin "Roy" Teeple, 67, a lifelong resident of Saratoga, died on Dec. 26 after a short struggle with leukemia.

Teeple was born in San Jose, one of eight children. After graduating from Los Gatos High School in 1956, he served in the military police for the U.S. Army, where he guarded President Dwight D. Eisenhower. He was a volunteer firefighter with the Saratoga Fire Department for more than two decades and a member of the Saratoga Lions Club. He also enjoyed supporting the Saratoga High School football program.

After a 35-year career in automotive repairs, Teeple retired from Moore Buick in Los Gatos in 2000 and moved to Modesto where he enjoyed some traveling, family celebrations and being an active member of the Neighborhood Church at River Ranch.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jeannie Teeple; his daughter Conni Janitz; his sons Bill and Joe Teeple; six grandchildren; his brother David Teeple of Fresno; his sister Mary Lou Butera of Campbell; and his twin sister Lois Pellegrino of Sacramento.

Graveside service was held on Dec. 29 at the Madronia Cemetery in Saratoga. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in his name to the Building Fund for Neighborhood Church at River Ranch, 3200 Tully Road, Modesto, CA 95350.
