The sporadic showers that fell throughout the day were no deterrant to young Los Gatans looking for a little loot on March 19. 'With all the rain and everything, we thought we'd have just a couple of cars drive by and we'd hand out candy,' said Cindy McCarthy, Los Gatos Community Education and Recreation youth programs supervisor. 'It ended up that that those little ones just came out in their rain slickers.' McCarthy said the turnout was surprising--100 to 200 children participated in each of eight egg hunts. 'We were shocked,' she said. 'It was a lot of fun.'
