Auto Burglary—Between March 24,
8 p.m., and March 25, 6 a.m. Someone smashed the front left window of a vehicle parked in a Roberts Road carport and stole papers, compact discs, a CD tray, a checkbook and two seat-mounted video monitors. The San Jose Police Department has identified a 22-year-old man as a suspect.
Drug Possession—March 25, 2:33 a.m. An officer stopped a vehicle on Wimbledon Drive near Winchester Boulevard because the driver was known to have a suspended license and be on parole. He was found to be in possession of and under the influence of methamphetamine. He was arrested and booked into jail.
Battery—March 24, 11:18 p.m. A 41-year-old woman was arrested on Milbrae Lane for allegedly hitting a younger woman on the head with her fists and kicking her while she lay on the ground. A records search revealed two outstanding warrants for the older woman's arrest.
Mail Theft—March 23, between 4 and 5 p.m. Someone stole mail from a residential street mailbox on Greenwood Road in Monte Sereno. No one unusual was noticed in the area.
Grand Theft—March 23, between 9:50 and 10:50 a.m. A Los Gatos High School student left her backpack unattended in the girls' locker room at the school during gym class. When she returned, she found that her money, cell phone and portable music player had been stolen.
Property Accident—March 23, 7:47 a.m. A vehicle crashed into The Preferred Image automotive body repair shop on Industrial Way, causing a major gas leak. Nearby streets were closed. The leak was contained at 8:03 a.m. and the streets were opened shortly afterward.
