Alice Longworth Royall of Los Gatos, 48, died May 6 after a long battle with breast cancer.

Royall graduated from Leland High School in 1974. Family members say it was her desire and dream to live in Los Gatos. She supported herself during the 1970s and '80s by working in many of the period's most popular restaurants and bars in Los Gatos. In 1987, she became a professional beauty salon consultant. Royall worked in the field successfully for 15 years, until illness intervened.

She is survived by her husband, Lee Royall of Los Gatos, her mother, Ellenetta Longworth of Los Gatos Meadows and her sister, Sandra Bailes of Las Vegas.
