Avid rock climber Grant Wernick, who grew up in Los Gatos, hangs from the top of a ridge at Castle Rock proper about 20 feet off the ground. Castle Rock State Park of Los Gatos is named after this rock, which offers visitors 12 challenging climbs and belaying.
