Theft--June 20, 11:16 a.m. On June 18, a man was notified that a check in his name was declined by a Safeway store in Hayward. Someone had attempted to pass a check belonging to the victim. The victim examined his checkbook and discovered that 40 checks were missing.

Burglary--June 19, 2:23 p.m. Between 5 and 7:25 p.m. on June 18, an unknown person used an unknown object to break the side window of a Volvo on Winchester Boulevard. The vehicle was parked in the parking lot of Courtside Club. A cell phone, digital camera and sunglasses were taken from the vehicle.

Grand Theft--June 19, 1:45 p.m. An unknown person took three gray stepping stones and a birdbath from a residence on Olive Street. The theft occurred between June 15 at 6 p.m. and June 16 at 8 a.m.

Arson--June 15, 4:22 p.m. On June 14, at approximately 12:50 p.m., a group of juvenile boys were lighting matches on N. Santa Cruz Avenue. The boys were contacted and counseled about fire hazards.

Malicious Mischief--June 15, 3:16 p.m. At approximately 11 p.m. on June 8, an unknown person threw rocks at a jeep located on Daves Avenue. The vehicle was parked on the street in front of a residence. The jeep sustained damage to the rear window, windshield, body and side-view mirror.

Burglary--June 15, 1:33 p.m. Between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. on June 5 and June 6, an unknown person used a rock to break the rear window of a van located on Oak Rim Court. A cell phone was taken.
