June M. Regan
June Marilyn Regan, 73, formerly of Saratoga and most recently of Monte Sereno, died June 11 after a long battle with cancer.
Regan was born in Burbank. She met her husband, Jim, in their first year at Occidental College in Los Angeles. The couple would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 26.
Regan devoted much of her life to teaching, including many years in the Saratoga School District as well as in Oregon and Los Angeles.
Regan is survived by her husband, Jim Regan of Monte Sereno; mother, Elizabeth Proctor of Saratoga; son Richard and his wife Jill Regan; daughter Ann and her husband John Hirokawa of Saratoga; grandchildren Christine Regan, Hanna Rocha, Katlyn Hirokawa and Tyler Hirokawa; and many lifelong friends.
A private service for the family was conducted by the Rev. Ernest Cockrell of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Saratoga on June 13. Contributions may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society or the Hospice of the Valley.
