A new event is rolling into town. Attendees will get a feast fit for a king, live music and dancing in the streets--and all the proceeds will benefit an important local cause.

The Los Gatos Morning Rotary CoolCats present the first annual Claws for a Cause Lobster Block Party at CB Hannegan's restaurant on Sept. 10, 6-10 p.m. Those involved are calling it "a wild summer night of all-you-can-eat fresh lobster, tri-tip and CB Hannegan's famous side dishes." Lively dance music will be provided by well-known local group Mack the Knife, and Bachman Avenue will be closed to make room for a party in the street.

The cost is $75 per person, and money from ticket sales will benefit local art and music, and the Los Gatos High School Theatre Improvement Project. Representatives say approximately 400 tickets have already been sold, and they expect that number to climb to around 1,000.

So grab a lobster bib and ready the palate for some good eats--Claws for a Cause is right around the corner.
